Project Runway Tonight!

I'm def kind of a loser/normal participant in low-brow American culture, but I'm excited for TV-- project runway is tonight. It's really a releif from all the hideously uninspired outfits lawyers put together. Part of it isn't their fault. I mean the men's suit isn't really groundbreaking fashion, even if you were to buy the nicest one--it's still wool and you need a shirt and a tie to go with it. But clothes for professional women are the worst! We have breasts and legs and hips and thighs and that's ok! Why make clothes for women that are essentially mens clothes with a couple of darts in the chest and bum and don't require a tie and take all the beauty out of being a woman?? You work in an office, you know. So project runway is an escape into my own fashion fantasy...away from the world I live in of button downs, khaki, and open toed shoes worn with pantyhose. The best part--it doesn't cost any money at all to indulge in this fantasy. Omg i didn't spend all my money on project runway. Maybe at urban outfitters in Chinatown tonight, but PR is guilt-free fashion for poor people who only have money to spend on boring work clothes like me. Well, maybe just this jacket from urban, and then I'm back to work. Aufvitazeign!

P.S. the NEED to auf that overthehill poser rocker motorcycle chick--she is taking up tv time away from people who can actually respond creatively to design challenges.

So this week of work was pretty good. I have become a infofile i.e. I check every news site every 2 minutes of every day because I have nothing to do. On Friday I'll be in Pennsylvania with the bf and his fam which should be really great but...

Ok I bought a new bathing suit for laying out at the beach.

which is this bathing suit--and it cost like 45$
(too much--I had to order an XL for the titties b/c they just run SO small, fucking clothing made for skinny bitches, so not only was i out almost 50 bucks but I also have to order 2 sizes bigger than usual and feel bad about it :()
would you believe the top and bottom don't completely match even though both were described by american apparel as nylon-cobalt??

Things I've learned at my job this summer

Here's a short list of things I've learned so far while working at my job this summer:

1. How to surf the internet until lunchtime

2. When buying a home--research the contractor and make sure he's legit; there are SO many crooked ones who will take your money and run

3. Always keep an umbrella in your desk in case of afternoon thunderstorms

4. Pee before you go to a 2.5 hour meeting

5. If you close the door and pretend you're on the phone, you can probably take a 10 minute nap

6. It's hard to resist internet shopping when that's all you have to keep yourself occupied

7. It's hard to have a good day when it doesn't start with coffee

Wedding preview

So I'm going to Woodstock, Vermont this weekend for the wedding of very good friends Mike Barry and Kate (Who i'll probably have to now call Kate Barry). Here is the dress I'm going to wear:

I'm not loving the syling. I think it needs more color, so i'll be wearing these shoes

They are very tall and hard to walk in but I'll do my best not to fall down.

The jewelery will be a pearl necklace with matching earings and I will decorate with bright lipstick to match the shoes.

Another thing I'll change about the styling is that bitchface the model is wearing. Not my style. Unless you spill something on my dress--then you may get shot the bitchface

These are some of the things I spent my money on this month. That's like a $250 outfit, but looking hot at a wedding--priceless. I think it's money well spent. Thanks Dr. Schopler!

Hey readers, it's been awile since I've spent all my money OMG OMG, but I'm back on. Basically I'm really bored at work and Allie http://allieinthebox.wordpress.com/ is very inspirational. So here it goes.

I'm meeting my good friend Christine for drinks tonight in about one (1) hour and forty-five (45) minutes [this is how numbers look in contracts and I just spent all day writing one, so I can't stop] and I'm done with work for the day.

Normally I would be out of here like Nimma on Top Chef, but that 60% chance of rain turned into 100% chance you'll be able to see through my shirt if I go outside. So I'm stuck in the office until: 1. the storm passes 2. it's 5pm. Hopefully the bums that usually sell porn on the street will have switched to umbrellas...

This week look for how I spent all my money in Jamaica and then even more money at the mall this weekend.

2 of my favorite people DJ EJ and Beckles were in town for some fuuununn times this weekend. The weather was really nice so we went to the Hirschorn (awesome, free, contemporary art museum) and walked around the mall. We also went to a street fair in B-thesda. Lots of free fun and it was so great to see my girls.

In an attempt to spend less money I have started the grapefruit diet. It works like other diets where you just don't eat much. I eat grapefruit because as Brad pointed out, cheap is money, and these suckers are 2 for 3$ and they're huge. Huge pink balls...like our kickball team. Good luck today DTB!

so, i'm starting this blog b/c omg I'm out of money, and I need free things to entertain myself with. In fact I have 25$ a week to spend for the rest of the month of april.
